ASI SUP Enclosed Water Remit• Flat water with no swell or breaking waves • Wind speed less than 12 knots (13.8mph)• Minimal water flow (less than 2 knots/ 2 miles per hour)• Water depth no less than 1 metre (3 ft) • A minimum of 200 metres (650ft) from river mouth • No more than 250 metres (820ft) from shore• Free from hazards (hazards includes: boats, boat ramps, rocks, fishing lines, submerged objects, oyster beds, pollution, dangerous marine creatures, etc.)Consider that the harbours offer significant wind protection.While the forecast wind may be higher than remit, it is very uncommon that the wind is so strong that we cannot run a safe lesson within the harbours.ASI SUP Exposed Water Remit• shore break less than 1½ feet• swell size less than 2 feet• no breaking waves• wind speed less than 12 knots (13.8mph), offshore wind less than 10 knots (11.5mph)• no more than 250 metres (820 ft) from shoreNCC Coasteering Remit• maximum of 3ft (1m) swell at 15 seconds period, trough to crest, breaking against or over the rocks
