Now that we are moving into winter, it's time for a reflection on some of the highlights of Blue Coast's third season running. It's been a great year with some exciting developments!
Some highlights from the last day of our first Surf 'n' Fun Kids Summer Camp last week. We had a variety of conditions but everyone hit the surf with enthusiasm, determination and plenty of smiles!
As our second season comes to a close, we're reflecting on the highlights from an awesome 2023 surf school season at Blue Coast Surf & Paddle (despite the crazy weather!)
On Tuesday evening, we were excited to host the Blue Coast Nippers Club first ever Surf Competition – and what a great time we had! Although the swell turned out a bit smaller than anticipated, and a few of our Nippers were away on their Tattie Holidays, everyone who came along got involved and gave a great performance.
The summer months at Blue Coast have passed in a flash. We've been busy delivering surf and paddleboard lessons & experiences, and now Coasteering too! The surf was pumping with out-of-season swell lighting up some of the spots along the coast.. yeehaa!
Blue Coast has had a great start to the season, with plenty of activities running despite the slow start to the spring weather. The last couple weeks have seen a shift in the weather, with warmer air and water temperatures and plenty of sunny days. Don't forget your sunscreen if you're coming to join us!
Blue Coast has just turned the fine age of 1 year old. It's been a great first year and we're looking forward to the next (and hopefully many more) doing what we love!
As our main season comes to a close, we're reflecting on some awesome things that happened at Blue Coast in August, September and October.
We were off our feet and happy in June and July at Blue Coast; very busy months for our third and fourth in business. Lots of exciting happenings!
Running our first SUP Yoga classes and Surf & Yoga Day retreats. Feeling good going into the first summer at Blue Coast!
Reflecting on a great second month at Blue Coast - getting very busy with lessons & tours, improving our offering, and some exciting new developments. Here's to continuing to grow into the summer months!
In this post, I'll explain some of the key elements of a surf forecast, using Sandend, Scotland and Magicseaweed as an example, and hopefully give you a boost as you jump into surf forecasting. Yeehaa!
The surf school's first month has been brilliant - I've enjoyed welcoming students. April offered up a fair few sunny days and some great waves at Cullen beach - I even managed a few surfs myself! Here's to a good month 2 as the water starts to warm up!
